I’m back from a week in Lombok. I’m older and no wiser than when I went, but I if I ever did one of those ‘guess where I’ve been’ pin in a map things; S.E Asia would now have an extra pin. What a sight that would be.

If you can get to Lombok, I would go. It’s veeeeerrrryyy chill and cheap too. By chill I mean bring books (plural). The Gili Islands alone are worth it, unless you hate occasionally treading on coral.

Should you indeed hate treading on coral I suggest that Sir/ Madam stay at the Novotel in Kuta Lombok (not Kuta Bali). The Novotel has a dude with two oxen that literally comb and smooth the beach sand at the resort, I wish that was a joke.

Just be prepared to be be catchin’ the hustle from most locals once you leave Surabaya.

Anyway the gist is this: I will drop films off tomorrow and hopefully bring you more Leica B&W love later in the week. In the mean time I’m going to go a little Anthony Bourdain and post some color digital snaps of waterfalls and shit.

P.S. I didn’t stay at the Novotel, I went there for breakfast one day and watched a dude and two oxen comb the beach.

The bacon had a weird texture. If you had told me it was human I would not have been surprised.
